The CILTHK Essay Competition was first introduced in 2002, and has run into its 9th year. Dr. Peter Wong, the Chief Judge, appreciated the overall high level of works among students. In this year, the theme for the competition was "How to develop Hong Kong into a distinctive cruise hub ". Johnathan Wong from 5F captured first runner-up in the English Stream — Senior Group, with his creative and cutting-edge ideas regarding the future of logistics development in Hong Kong. Marco Siu from 3E have also attained a merit in the English Stream — Junior Group, with his inspirational and innovative outlook on the future logistics network. These numerous successes of Josephians serve as another testimony of Josephians ' academic brilliance.
