“80th Anniversary of Victory in Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression” Thematic Book Exhibition

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the National Education Team, Chinese History Department, and Library Department jointly curated a comprehensive Thematic Book Exhibition. Held over two weeks from 2 to 12 September 2025, this event served as a focal point for Patriotic and Chinese History education, immersing students in the pivotal events that shaped modern China.

The exhibition featured a rich collection of historical books and pictorials, supplemented by screenings of educational videos such as The War of Resistance and the Fall of Hong Kong. These resources offered a vivid retelling of the resilience and struggles of the Chinese people during the war. To deepen the learning impact, lesson visits were arranged where S2 to S3 students completed reflection worksheets, connecting historical facts with personal values such as responsibility and respect. This initiative went beyond mere observation; it fostered a strong sense of historical empathy and national identity. By reflecting on the sacrifices of their forebears, students learned to cherish the hard-earned peace of today and internalized the importance of national unity and perseverance.
