On Monday, September 22nd, the St. Joseph’s College community gathered in the New Hall for the annual Opening Mass, a cherished tradition marking the spiritual start of the academic year. The Mass was led by Father Matthew Chan, Brother Jeffrey and Christian Union. The hall was filled with students from S1, S3, and S4, along with their teachers, all united in a moment of prayer and reflection.
The Opening Mass serves as an important cornerstone of the school, providing an opportunity for Josephians to seek God’s blessings and guidance for the year ahead. It sets a tone of gratitude and purpose, reminding students and staff of the values that lie at the heart of a Lasallian education.
For S1 students, the event served as a formal and spiritual welcome into the St. Joseph’s family. For S3 and S4 students, it was time to refocus their minds and hearts on their academic journey and personal growth.
Under the spiritual leadership of Brother Jeffrey and Father Matthew Chan, the Opening Mass has beautifully set a reverent and positive stage for a successful and fulfilling year at St. Joseph’s College
