As part of the Constitution and Basic Law Student Ambassadors Training Scheme, the school participated in a Chinese Traditional Embroidery Workshop held at Hotung Secondary School on 12 November 2025, immersing students in the nation’s rich intangible cultural heritage. This hands-on activity allowed student ambassadors to explore the artistry and history of traditional Chinese craftsmanship.
Guided by professional instructors, students learned about the “Four Famous Embroideries” (Su, Xiang, Yue, and Shu) and practiced basic stitching techniques to create their own embroidered pieces. This workshop was more than an art lesson; it was a journey into cultural appreciation. By engaging with a craft passed down through generations, students connected with the aesthetic values and patience inherent in Chinese culture. The activity aimed to strengthen cultural confidence and identity, helping students understand that safeguarding cultural security also involves preserving and inheriting the nation’s soft power and cultural traditions. It provided a tangible link to their heritage, fostering a deep respect for the artisans who keep these traditions alive.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Education Bureau and the Constitution and Basic Law Student Ambassadors Training Scheme for organizing this meaningful event, which provided our students with a valuable opportunity to connect with their cultural roots.
