Patriotic Film Screening: The Volunteers: Peace at Last

Utilizing the power of cinema for national education, the school joined a screening of the film The Volunteers: Peace at Last (《志願軍:浴血和平》) on 15 November 2025. This event aimed to engage students emotionally with modern Chinese history through a compelling visual narrative.

The film depicts the heroic sacrifices of the Chinese People’s Volunteers during the Korean War, highlighting their strategic brilliance and immense courage against overwhelming odds. Students were captivated by the intense storytelling, which brought to life the struggles of their forebears. This screening provided a touching history lesson, allowing students to empathize with the nation’s past challenges and triumphs. It fostered a deep sense of patriotism and gratitude, encouraging students to reflect on the national character of bravery and loyalty. The event successfully strengthened their national identity and appreciation for the peace safeguarded by previous generations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Hong Kong Island School Heads Association for organizing this meaningful activity, allowing our students to learn about history outside the classroom in such an impactful way.
