To deepen senior students’ understanding of the legal frameworks safeguarding Hong Kong, the school invited Mr James Chan from the Law Society of Hong Kong to deliver a talk on the National Security Law to all Secondary 4 students on 14 November 2025.
The speaker provided a comprehensive overview of the law’s importance in maintaining stability and the specific offences it covers. Through real-world examples, he demystified complex legal concepts and highlighted the role of the law in restoring order under the principle of “One Country, Two Systems”. The talk emphasized the students’ civic responsibilities, moving beyond theory to practical awareness. It reinforced the rule of law as a core value and encouraged students to be law-abiding citizens who actively contribute to the safety and security of their city and country.
