Speech under the National Flag: Principal’s Sharing on “Hong Kong Education Sector Delegation to Beijing and Nanjing”

On 25 November 2025, Principal Mr T. M. Kwok delivered a Speech under the National Flag, sharing valuable insights from his participation in the “Hong Kong Education Sector National Day Delegation to Beijing and Nanjing for Professional Exchange”.

Mr Kwok spoke solemnly about his visit to the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders. With the Nanjing Massacre National Memorial Day approaching on 13 December, he emphasized that remembering history is not to perpetuate hatred, but to understand the heavy price of peace. He urged students to cherish today’s stability and strive to build a strong nation to prevent such tragedies from recurring.

Additionally, Mr Kwok recounted attending the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square. Highlighting that 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he described the ceremony as a powerful symbol of the nation’s resilience and its rise from the ashes of war. This sharing inspired deep national pride, encouraging students to connect their personal growth with the future of the Motherland.
