Congratulations to Professor Dennis Lo (Class of '81), again!

We are proud to announce that Professor Dennis LO, a prominent old boy of SJC, Director of the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences and Chairman of the Department of Chemical Pathology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has received Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards (Science and Technology) 2018 from the Ministry of Education of the PRC for his technological innovation. The awarded scientific research project entitled "Analysis of Plasma DNA to Screen for Early Nasopharyngeal Cancer" was conducted by Professor Lo and his research team. Nasopharyngeal Cancer is commonly seen in Hong Kong and southern parts of China. With this non-invasive DNA screening technology, patients can be treated at an earlier stage when there is a much greater likelihood of successful treatment.
