Academic Prize-Giving Ceremony 2019

2019-10-14 14:58:00

The Annual Academic Prize-Giving Ceremony was successfully held on 29th September 2019 (Sunday) from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the New Hall. We were honoured to have our exemplary Old Boy, Dr Lie Kwok Wai, Albert, Deputy Hospital Chief Executive (Planning), Queen Mary Hospital, as our Guest-of-Honour of the Ceremony. We were also privileged to have a number of prominent Old Boys and PTA members to join us in this delightful event and present the awards to our prize-winners.

A variety of awards and scholarships were presented to our Josephians for their excellent academic achievements in the previous academic year, including the newly established St. Joseph's College Scholarship for Overseas Studies, founded by our Old Boys Mr Johnny Chan and Mr Joseph Yau with their generous donation. 22 top achievers in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) 2019 were admitted to the SJC Academic Honour Roll this year.

We are grateful to our honourable guests for taking their time to attend the Ceremony, not to mention the support and encouragement from the parents to our Josephians, who proudly shared the joy with their sons. With their awards and scholarships, Josephians will surely continue to strive for excellence in academic results in the future and make history for our college.
